2021 Unity Summit Call For Session Ideas

This open call for sessions ideas will gather proposals for content to be presented at 2021 Unity Summit, where we will explore strategies for utilizing power to advance philanthropic equity.
Specifically, we are looking for examples of how philanthropy can support structural and institutional CHANGE through two focus areas:

Internal climate and culture work focused on realizing intersectional racial equity within philanthropic organizations; and
-
External investment into community-led solutions and relationships that leverage collective power.
Session ideas should align with one or more of the Unity Summit goals:

Highlight how to integrate diversity, inclusion, and social justice into philanthropic practice.

Amplify equitable philanthropic practices that address structural and institutional change.

Magnify community priorities of our partners with an intersectional approach.

We are seeking diverse formats and speaker groups that represent a diversity of identities, experience and communities.

Given the COVID-19 pandemic, we are continually assessing the best possible format to convene given the conditions. We will make a formal decision by April 2021 to confirm the event format; all selected sessions will be supported in adapting to the necessary parameters. For the purpose of these applications, please assume an in-person conference format.
