
Where is the 2025 Unity Summit taking place?
The 2025 Unity Summit is taking place in Minneapolis, MN. For the safety and security of all participants, the location of the hotel and information on how to book hotel rooms will be shared only with registered participants in their confirmation email. We kindly ask that you do not share this information with anyone who is not registered for the event.
How do I register?
If you are a general attendee, please visit the Unity Summit Registration Site and follow the instructions provided.
If you are a Speaker, Sponsor, Planning Team Member, or have received a Network Invitation, please use the unique registration link and any applicable discount codes provided by the Unity Summit Event Team.
How much does registration cost?
The cost to attend the Unity Summit depends on the registration path you choose and the timing of your sign-up:

In-person: $975-$1,400 + processing fees.

Virtual: $375 + processing fees
An early bird discount will be available until August 29, 2025 or until the limited quantity of tickets sells out, whichever comes first. Additionally, speakers will receive a special discounted registration rate as a thank-you for their contribution.
Are there scholarships available?
Thanks to the generous support of our sponsors, a portion of the Unity Summit 2025 budget is dedicated to assisting with registration and lodging costs, making the event more accessible to all.
Additionally, members of Emerging Practitioners in Philanthropy (EPIP) are eligible to apply for a scholarship through their organization.

What is the difference between in-person and virtual attendance?
In-person participants will have access to all sessions and activities in Minneapolis, both at our host hotel and in community spaces. They’ll also be able to join all online programming, including virtual breakout sessions and the NCRP Impact Awards. All in-person participants must commit to the social agreements and community care guidelines as part of registration.
Virtual participants will have access to livestreamed plenaries, all online breakout sessions, and the NCRP Impact Awards, which will be available via Whova. They can connect with other attendees through the event app and online platform. Virtual participants will not have access to in-person sessions, receptions, or off-sites events in Minneapolis.
How do I change or add details to my registration?
Please email unitysummit@changephilanthropy.org with “Registration Update” in the subject line, and we’ll support you with these changes.
I registered but am unable to attend. How do I transfer my registration to another colleague?
If you register but are unable to attend, you may ask to designate another attendee within your organization to take your place at no additional charge.
All substitution requests must be submitted by the original attendee via email to unitysummit@changephilanthropy.org. Please include “Substitution” in your subject line.
Any registration edits or transfers must be completed by October 14, 2025.
Can I cancel my registration?
All cancellation requests must be made by sending an email to unitysummit@changephilanthropy.org. Please include “Cancellation” in your subject line.
If you cancel your registration on or before September 30, 2025, you will receive a full refund of your registration fee, minus a $50 processing fee. If you cancel between October 1 and October 14, 50% of your registration fee will be refunded. After October 14, no refunds will be issued.
All refunds will be processed within 30 days after the conclusion of the conference.
How do I switch my in-person registration to virtual?
We are able to help you transition your in-person registration to a virtual registration. Before September 30, the cost difference will be refunded in full. Between September October 1 and October 14, 50% of the difference will be refunded. After October 14, no refunds will be granted. To switch to virtual, please email to unitysummit@changephilanthropy.org with your request.
What is a CHANGE Partner Pre-Con? How do I sign up?
CHANGE Partner Pre-Cons offer registered attendees a chance to engage more deeply with select CHANGE Partner organizations on Monday, October 27. Five sessions will be open to all Unity Summit attendees; others are invite-only.
As part of the sign-up process, you’ll be required to enter your Order Confirmation code. Some sessions include an additional fee and all have limited capacity, so early sign-up is encouraged.

I am speaking at the Unity Summit. What do I need to do?
Thank you for your contribution to the 2025 Unity Summit! If you are a plenary speaker, you will be contacted directly by our Event Team. If you are presenting during a breakout session, your Session Lead will share detailed preparation notes and instructions with you. Please review those emails and let us know if you have any questions at programming@conveningtowardliberation.com.
Where can I learn more about the conference program and speakers?
Registered attendees can access all program details in the Whova app when it goes live. Information about the program for those not attending will be shared in recaps publicly after the event.
Can I bring guests who are not registered attendees of the Unity Summit to receptions, Unity Summit programming, or meals?
Due to limited capacity and resources, and to support the fullest engagement of all attendees while minimizing disruptions, all formal programming (such as plenaries, breakout sessions, and meals) are for registered attendees only. We kindly ask that guests do not attend plenaries, breakout sessions, or meals.
We will have a limited number of guest passes available for both our Monday night Welcome Reception and Tuesday evening CommUNITY Celebration. Please indicate your interest in attending through our Guest Pass Form (Form coming soon), and we will follow up with additional details and confirmation based on availability. All guests must receive prior approval and must commit to the social agreements and community care guidelines as part of registration.
Are children welcome at the 2025 Unity Summit?
As part of our ongoing commitment to inclusion, the Unity Summit is working to make the event accessible to all participants, including those traveling with children.
While the Unity Summit is unable to provide group childcare, we invite you to share your interest in child care resources as you register. We will share a list of local childcare providers with anyone who indicates interest in registration, and include the resources in the app. You can choose to engage these child care providers or find your own.

What is your COVID-19 protocol?
All attendees are required to take a COVID test and show a negative result at registration on the day they arrive in order to access the 2025 Unity Summit. Masks are encouraged but not required. If you feel ill, please do not attend in person. For more details, please refer to our full COVID-19 policy.
How do I get a copy of the attendee list?
All attendees who have given consent to be listed for the full 2025 Unity Summit community are visible in the Whova App. Please download the app and review the attendees there. For safety and security, additional attendee lists will not be provided.
What is the dress code?
Our sartorial guidelines encourage you to wear the clothes that honor your identities and/or affiliations, and allows you to be your whole self at the Unity Summit. This could range from business casual to traditional/cultural clothing, from fun and relaxed, to formal and full of flair. Please dress in a way that makes you comfortable, lets you express yourself, and supports how you want to participate.
The conference space is large, so comfortable shoes or any tools you need to move around are recommended. The hotel temperature can range from hot to cool, so bringing layers will help you stay comfortable throughout the day.
I’m attending for the first time. How can I prepare or plan for the experience?
We are excited to have you join us! Once launched, please review the Whova App and its offerings to help you plan your schedule, and get acquainted with the Unity Summit vibe, and discover options for your agenda and experience online. You’re welcome to join the First Timers Gathering to meet more folks in the same position - see Whova for timing details once launched. When you register, you can pick up a ribbon to show it’s your first time attending, helping us celebrate and welcome you as we move through the space together.

As the event approaches, information about parking and public transit options will be shared directly with registered attendees. Please do not share this information with anyone not attending the Unity Summit.
I’m attending virtually, how do I get to the Unity Summit?
Registered attendees will have access to all virtual content through the Whova Event Platform. Instructions on how to access the platform, along with best practices for engaging, will be shared closer to the event.
